Do your products contain lard or lardy additives?

Our products contain no lard or lardy additives.
 
What does hydrogenation mean? Does it have any adverse effect on human health? Are all margarines processed with hydrogenation?

Hardening is a process of raising the melting point of a part of purified fats in order to preserve the hard state for packaging purposes. This is done by using hydrogen which is an essential component of water. To this end, all margarines use various technologies.
 
What makes a product higher quality (more expensive) in comparison to competitors?

The criteria that make a product higher quality (more expensive) in comparison to competitors; • The quality of raw fat, • Applied technologies, • Standard production conditions, • GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) considerations, • Products performances, • Adequate packaging materials, • Sales and marketing activities, and QUALITY FIRST principle that is essential to all those criteria.
 
What is cholesterol? Is it contained in your products?

Cholesterol is a fat like substance required for certain bodily functions. We only get ¼ of the cholesterol in blood from the food we eat, and the remaining ¾ is produced by the liver.
Human and animal body produces cholesterol. That is why animal food products (meat, milk, egg, butter, etc) contain cholesterol.
Vegetable food products contain no cholesterol. Since all margarines in Turkey are produced from vegetable fats they contain no cholesterol.
 
Is margarine harmful to health?

It is not harmful to health since it is entirely produced from vegetable fats fulfilling various bodily needs as well as additives recognized by the whole world for having no adverse effects. It supports the body both with nutrition and vitamins. In addition, it is healthier than butter due to the fact that it contains no cholesterol and lower level of saturated fat.
 
Do margarines contain cholesterol?

Which means of transportation do you use? (Truck, train, ship)

The type of transportation that is most suitable to the conditions of the export country is preferred. The most important factor is reliability in transportation
 
How long is your lead time for orders?

Average lead time varies according to countries and transportation requirements.
 
What is the minimum shipment volume?

The minimum shipment volume varies according to the capacity of truck, railway car, or container depending on the type of transportation for an efficient freight. Lower tonnages may increase the cost of freight and eventually the selling price.
 
When is refrigerated transportation necessary?

We offer refrigerated transportation for our margarine packs and industrial products between May-October, which may change according to weather conditions.
 
Can your products be transported with other products?

Since they are food products, we prefer not to transport with other products. However, they may be transported with other odorless products. Detergents and bad odorous or easily spilled products are not allowed.

Is Piyale the first Turkish pasta?

Yes. Piyale is the first Turkish brand that has started to produce in 1922.
 
Why does pasta get doughy?

Pasta may get doughy if the cooking time indicated on the pack is not observed, if it is not boiled enough, if it stays long time in hot water or if bread wheat is used instead of durum wheat.
 
How should pasta be stored?

You can store pasta packs for two years without boiling. Pasta must be stored in a cool and dry place. You should first cook the pasta purchased earlier, and finish an already opened pack before opening another one. You can keep cooked pasta in an air tight container for 3 to 5 days. If you add a little oil you pasta will not stick. Do not store cooked pasta mixed with sauce.
 
What are the nutritious features of pasta?

Pasta is a good source of energy. Energy yield of 1 portion of pasta (300g) is 423 kcal. It is rich with vitamins and minerals. It is possible to get 20% of the daily need for thiamin, niacin, riboflavin, folic acid, pentatonic acid, iron, potassium and magnesium with 1 portion of cooked pasta (300g). Sodium content is very low.
It is a source of protein. 1 portion of cooked pasta (300g) fulfills 50% of the daily need for the essential amino acid. It is digestible.
 
Does pasta contain cholesterol?

Pasta naturally does not contain cholesterol. It is an ideal menu for those on a cholesterol diet if the oil used in the sauce after cooking is carefully chosen.
 
Why do pastas have different colors?

The color of ideal pasta should be amber. This color is easily obtainable with durum wheat. The color of pasta varies according to the wheat quality.
 
What is pasta made of? Is egg added?

Pasta is made of semolina and water. No egg is added unless “egg pasta” is to be made.
 
What is durum wheat?

Compared to regular wheat, durum wheat contains more pigment which gives the desired color to pasta, less carbohydrate, and more protein. It provides technologic advantage in the production stage, and enhances cooking quality.
